Have you typed a query in Google and got a post/article which was dated months back and even sometimes years back that was neither relevant nor up to date? Well that is set to change, with Google constantly evolving and making changes to be the leading Search engine in the world it will now make changes to their search algorithm to ensure they no longer give stale results. The current changes will allow valuable information for us easier to access and the information is more current. With a number of social media platforms available to get the most up to date news and information Google needed to make changes to ensure they were at the level of their competitors.
Google have revived their current search algorithm to ensure searches are more up to date and timely. Google have made one of the biggest changes which is supposed to affect at least 35 per cent of all searches. Google has been challenged by various other companies to get the most updated results as many are now turning to Twitter. Google saw how they needed to improve to beat rivals. Google has in recent years attempted to get real time searches but there had been no major improvement to show for.
Two thirds of searches are still on Google however people turn to Facebook and twitter for upcoming events, latest scores etc. Google is great to view archived websites. However the main problem was inadequate articles were being floated around linking with popular search queries as a result there were a number of low quality websites dominating search engines. With the change made in February this gave more high quality websites greater standing which led to better results. The changes will now show minute by minute news stories unfolding also fresh results which are updated and more current. Using technology that was built last year they have a web indexing system which crawls websites quicker and updates the index regularly, they will also add Google plus posts to add to their fresh content.
These changes will not only get the most current information but be able to differentiate the different types of content and usefulness to queries even if written months ago. Meaning for us we can get fresh content and also useful information related to our queries.
