Why has M-commerce only just become a contender?

Stats show that in January alone, 29% of mobile users made a purchase using their mobile devices and many more head online in their breaks to browse. It has in fact, been forecasted to increase by a further 7 percent to 24 percent of all retail e-commerce by 2016, therefore boosts M-commerce friendly sites. The statistics even show that 70 percent of shopper accessed online shops whilst in the actually stores themselves.
